Cloudflare是一家免费的CDN提供商，也可以仅使用他们提供的域名解析服务，很多站在都在使用Cloudflare的服务。

美国时间7月2日，Cloudflare 由于在部署 WAF (Web Application Firewall) 规则时，其中一条规则包含的正则表达式导致了Cloudflare全球范围内的服务器CPU使用率飙升至100%，从而导致用户在访问使用了 Cloudflare CDN 的网站出现了502错误。最高导致82%的流量被丢弃，整个宕机事件持续了大概30分钟。

Cloudflare官博对这次事件也做了回顾，表示他们测试工作不够充分，将重新调整他们的测试和部署流程，避免以后发生类似的事件。
